Hello Barons!

We started off a very busy week with a history lesson as our nation remembers the 9/11 attacks.
Twenty-five years after the Sept. 11 attacks, teachers are working with students who only know
the event entirely through the account of history, family and archived footage, as every student
now enrolled in kindergarten through 12th grade was born after Sept. 11, 2001. Though the
depth of instruction or accounts varies widely, the goal is to make sure we never forget. We are
charged with teaching about the attacks to pass on key historical facts and explain their lasting
impact.

The week continued with confessions and our first Jeans Day, as well as a PTO meeting. We are
moving right along as next week marks the half-way point of the first quarter. That being said
you will see a plea from Heidi, Lindsey and possibly others to make sure all paperwork and fees
are taken care of in the coming days as this first quarter is already half over. Please take care of
these responsibilities.

It appears we have made it through the plumbing issues and possibly the heat wave. I would like
to thank everyone for their understanding with these situations. In my opinion -- and I have
shared this with the staff -- grace unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough,
and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal
into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. I read this somewhere, and it has stuck
